Dunlap Media has announced that GoLaurens.com will be moving to a new, more reader-friendly format this week. The new format will feature enhancements to the site that will give the page a cleaner look with more features.
CPW working to replace few remaining outdated power meters
The Laurens Commission of Public Works met Monday to discuss ongoing projects, the financial report for April, and their sponsorship of the Laurens Parks and Recreation Department. General Manager Dale Satterfield also updated the commissioners on the progress of switching their customers outdated meters for newer ones.

As part of the Cal Ripken Chevy Youth Baseball clinic, sponsored by Smith Chevrolet, Laurens Dixie Youth and the Laurens YMCA, a fundraiser was held and tickets were sold for the opportunity to win a new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze or Equinox.
